Tiree Burchill and Georgie Robb have won the 2024/25 Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) Goal of the Season awards, supported by Park’s Motor Group. The goals were selected by a SWPL panel of judges involved in the women’s game.

Burchill’s early season finish away to Spartans beat 4 other goals to the SWPL award and was the winning goal on way to gaining Thistle an important three points back in August.

The midfielder received the ball at knee-height around 25 yards out from goal, before audaciously attempting a chipped volley which looped into the far corner over the helpless goalkeeper.

The panel selected Burchill’s strike ahead of the other worthy nominations of Chelsea Cornet’s goal for Rangers against Celtic, Kirsty Howat’s goal for Rangers against Glasgow City, Kathleen McGovern’s goal for Hibernian against Rangers, and Eva Thomson’s goal for Aberdeen against Queen’s Park.

Georgie Robb wins the SWPL 2 Goal of the Season award, ahead of four other nominations, for her curling long-range effort for Gartcairn against Rossvale back in February.

The winger dribbled past Rossvale’s midfield before cutting inside and from around 30 yards out on the angle, imperiously curled the ball into the top corner. It was one of three goals for the January loan signing as she claimed the matchball while also helping her team to an impressive 7-0 win.

The panel selected Robb’s strike ahead of the other worthy nominations of Eryn Brown’s goal for Hamilton Academical against Gartcairn, Rebecca Galbraith’s goal for Boroughmuir Thistle against Hamilton Academical, Cara Gray’s goal for Kilmarnock against Livingston, and Megan Whiteford’s goal for Rossvale against Livingston.
