Cara Gray wins May SWPL Goal of the Month, supported by Park’s Motor Group

Cara Gray has been voted by the public as May’s SWPL Goal of the Month winner, supported by Park’s Motor Group, for her half-volleyed finish in Kilmarnock’s convincing 6-0 win away to Livingston.

The ball was carried out from the centre of defence before a midfield-splitting pass was played to Abby Robinson. With her first touch, she flicked the ball round the corner and over the Livingston defence into the path of Cara Gray, who expertly dispatched the bouncing ball on the half-volley into the far top corner. The young forward, who also won the May SWPL 2 Player of the Month award, supported by Park’s Motor Group, scored this 2nd goal for Aberdeen in the game which set the Scotland youth international on her way to yet another hat-trick in an impressive first full season in the SWPL.

Her goal stood out amongst some strong competition in Kerry Beattie (Aberdeen), Mhairi Crooks (Rossvale), and Hannah Robinson (Partick Thistle) in the May 2025 edition as voted by the public.
