Eilidh Davies wins September SWPL Goal of the Month, supported by Park’s Motor Group

 Eilidh Davies has been voted by the public as September’s SWPL Goal of the Month winner, supported by Park’s Motor Group, for her stunning strike in Spartans’ 2-0 victory over Queen’s Park at The Vanloq Community Stadium.

Davies pounced on the loose ball in the middle of the park before taking a couple touches and rifling the ball into the top corner beyond the reach of the Queen’s Park goalkeeper. This was the second goal of the game to secure a crucial three points for Spartans as they bid to keep pace at the top of the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2.

The Spartans midfielder’s strike earned nearly half of the vote with 44%, going up against tough competition from Rachel Donaldson (Partick Thistle), Katie Frew (Dundee United), and Kathleen McGovern (Hibernian).
