Eva Thomson wins April SWPL Goal of the Month, supported by Park’s Motor Group

Eva Thomson has been voted by the public as April’s SWPL Goal of the Month winner, supported by Park’s Motor Group, for her volleyed effort in Aberdeen’s thrilling 5-2 win at home to Queen’s Park.

A bouncing ball broke to Thomson from a half clearance following an Aberdeen corner before she unleashed a sublime half volley into the net, leaving the Queen’s Park keeper with no chance. The young midfielder, who was also nominated for the April SWPL Player of the Month award, supported by Park’s Motor Group scored this 4th goal for Aberdeen in the game which thwarted any chance of a Queen’s Park comeback and added to her impressive goals tally during the month of April which has since helped Aberdeen to confirm SWPL safety.

Her goal stood out amongst some strong competition in Ashley Fish (Livingston), Kirsty Howat (Rangers), and Sophie Rutherford (Queen’s Park) in the April 2025 edition as voted by the public.
