Lucie Burns wins January SWPL Goal of the Month, supported by Park’s Motor Group

Lucie Burns has been voted by the public as January’s SWPL Goal of the Month winner, supported by Park’s Motor Group, for her audacious lob in Kilmarnock’s 2-1 victory over Gartcairn.

Burns showcased her clinical finishing ability, collecting the long ball just outside the box and taking a precise shot that flew over the goalkeeper. The youngster’s two goals proved to be the difference in a hard-fought contest, as Burns helped her team secure a crucial three points. Her goal stood out amongst some strong competition in Michaela McAlonie (Hibernian), Katie Rice (Motherwell), and Erin Sheehan (Boroughmuir Thistle) in the January 2025 edition as voted by the public.
