Natasha Flint and Ellie-May Cowie have collected the March 2023/24 Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) Player of the Month awards, supported by Park’s Motor Group.

Flint wins the award for the first time after being nominated previously for February. The Liverpool loanee has hit the ground running on her return to Celtic with six goals and one assist in the league.

In March alone, Flint played a vital role for her side as they won all three matches including games to title rivals Rangers and Glasgow City. The forward scored four goals including a brace in their 2-1 win over Rangers and the second goal in their 2-1 win over Glasgow City.

Celtic sit just one point behind Rangers as they look to lift the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League title for the first time in their history. They finished as runners-up last season and in 2020/21.

Ellie-May Cowie wins the award for St Johnstone after helping her side to 10 points from a possible 15 in ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2.

The left sided player, mostly deployed as a wing-back, has been a vital part of St Johnstone’s push into the top four. Cowie helped her side to four clean sheets from five games in March while also scoring three goals. This included a brace in their 3-0 away win over Glasgow Women.

St Johnstone currently sit 4th, a point ahead of Boroughmuir Thistle and three points behind Livingston. They are 10 points behind Kilmarnock and the promotion play-off spot with six games remaining.

The nominees for the March 2024 SWPL award were Louisa Boyes (Motherwell), Mia McAulay (Rangers), Jade McLaren (Montrose) and for the SWPL 2 award were Emma Craig (Queen’s Park) and Kaela McDonald-Nguah (Gartcairn).
