Maria McAneny wins December SWPL Goal of the Month, supported by Park’s Motor Group

Maria McAneny has been voted by the public as December’s SWPL Goal of the Month winner, supported by Park’s Motor Group, for her stunning strike from kick-off in Celtic’s 2-1 victory over Hibernian at Meadowbank

McAneny was laid off by fellow attacker Saoirse Noonan as Celtic got off to the best possible start, with McAneny’s hit putting the Glasgow side 1-0 within just seconds of the game getting underway. The goal sent Celtic on their way to getting an important three points to ensure they keep pace at the top of the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League.
