BBC ALBA has selected five matches including Rangers against Hibernian in the final match of 2024. In the reverse fixture earlier in the season, Hibs were unlucky not to defeat the Glasgow side as Rio Hardy scored a last-minute equaliser at a blustery Meadowbank Stadium. Grant Scott will be hoping for a similar performance on the road with his side currently nine points behind their opponents, with a game in hand.
BBC ALBA will also broadcast the Sky Sports Cup Semi-Final between Celtic and Rangers. Jo Potter’s side prevailed 3-2 at New Douglas Park in the most recent encounter between the two Glasgow sides. With a place in the Sky Sports Cup Final up for grabs, the semi-final is expected to provide more drama and excitement as the two sides go head-to-head once again.
BBC Sport Scotland has selected two matches which includes Queen’s Park against Rangers on Sunday 12th January. This will be the Spiders’ first live broadcast match since their promotion to the top division as they look to cause a shock against the top-of-the-table side. This will be followed by Heart of Midlothian at home to Partick Thistle on Sunday 9th February.
Fiona McIntyre, SWPL Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to take the total number of live broadcast matches in the current season up to 34. This season has been incredibly competitive at both ends of the table and the partnerships with our broadcast partners are vital as we seek to increase the visibility of women’s football in Scotland.
“With some huge games between now and the end of February, we encourage fans to get out to as many games as possible or to tune in to BBC ALBA and BBC Sport Scotland for the best of the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League and Sky Sports Cup action.”
