The Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) is delighted to announce their ‘Get Moving, Be Here: Free Entry for Active Kids!’ campaign as part of the 2024 Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week.
All ScottishPower Women’s Premier League and ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2 matches will offer free entry for under-16s (with a paying adult or concession) on Sunday 6th October. To get free entry, anyone under the age of 16 simply needs to participate in some form of physical activity that week. This can be anything at all that they enjoy and can safely participate in from football training and PE at school, to star jumps in their own home.
To redeem this offer, parents or guardians are encouraged to complete the online form via the SWPL website @ https://swpl.uk/free-entry-for-active-kids/. Alternatively, free tickets for under-16s can be issued on the gate for the majority of games.*
Fiona McIntyre, SWPL Managing Director, said: “We are proud to actively support Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week again this year, alongside the 20 SWPL clubs.
“For 2024 we are going even further than before, by delivering a league-wide campaign offering free tickets for under-16s across the country for all ScottishPower Women’s Premier League matches on Sunday 6th October.
“We recognise the importance of activity and sport in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. Therefore, we are encouraging children and young people to get active that week. In return, we hope they will be inspired and enjoy the experience of watching elite women’s football in person, alongside a parent or guardian.
“I want to thank all SWPL clubs for supporting this campaign and I would encourage everyone to use Sunday 6th October as an opportunity to attend a match, especially if you have never been before.”
