The Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) can confirm that the upcoming ScottishPower Women’s Premier League match between Partick Thistle and Glasgow City on Sunday, 25th August, will now be played at Kirkintilloch Community Sports Complex. This fixture was originally scheduled to be played at Lochburn Park, a temporary home venue for Partick Thistle due to ongoing improvement works at Petershill Park.
Following the match between Partick Thistle and Hibernian on Sunday, 11th August, and after receiving feedback from SWPL clubs, the SWPL Board reconsidered the suitability of Lochburn Park and determined that it was not suitable to host SWPL matches.
The match remains a 13:00 kick-off and all tickets already purchased for this Sunday’s game are valid.
Due to the ongoing improvement works at Petershill Park, Partick Thistle’s match against Celtic on Sunday, 15th September, will also be played at Kirkintilloch Community Sports Complex.
The SWPL will make no further comment on this matter.
