Goalkeeper – Beth Rennie (Boroughmuir Thistle)
Boroughmuir Thistle shot stopper Beth Rennie proved pivotal in helping her side keep a clean sheet against fellow Edinburgh side Spartans. Rennie made six saves in the match to keep her opponents at bay. The 0-0 draw earns the Boroughmuir Thistle ‘keeper her second clean sheet of the new campaign, her first since her side’s opening day win over Livingston.

Defender – Emma Lawton (Celtic)
Celtic bounced back after their derby day defeat at New Douglas Park to win in a tightly contested battle against Aberdeen at the Balmoral Stadium. Emma was a standout for Celtic on the day where she provided a neat cut back assist for the opening goal of the game. She was highly involved down Celtic’s right flank where she completed 100% of her dribbles, whilst also remaining strong at the back, winning an impressive ten duels throughout the match.
Defender – Morgan Hay (Queen’s Park)
Queen’s Park have made it three wins on the bounce after their victory over Gartcairn. Morgan is part of a Queen’s Park defence that has kept their second clean sheet of the season, contributing seven key interceptions in the process. The right back also scored the opening goal of the game with a fantastic long-range strike, helping continue Queen’s Park’s impressive start to the SWPL 2 season.
Defender – Ronaigh Douglas (Spartans)
Ronaigh Douglas put in a standout performance for Spartans in their goalless draw with Boroughmuir Thistle at the Vanloq Community Stadium. Douglas was solid at the back in the all-Edinburgh affair, with 11 interceptions and 16 duels won. On the ball, the defender had an 87% pass completion rate, rounding off an impressive performance.

Midfielder – Tegan Bowie (Hibernian)
Tegan Bowie put on a dominant display against Montrose as her side claimed a 5-0 victory at Meadowbank. Bowie was provider on three occasions in the capital, with a hat-trick of assists for the midfielder. Tegan was a constant threat up the left flank, managing a 100% dribble completion rate against her opponents.
Midfielder – Kim Shin-Ji (Rangers)
The Roma loanee has taken little to no time settling into her new surroundings in Scotland, with a number of strong midfield performances this season. Shin-Ji was heavily involved in Rangers’ second half attacking play, ultimately sealing the win as she grabbed her first goal of the season in the last minute, after a great press on the Partick Thistle keeper, with a tidy spin and left footed shot to seal the 3 points for the Gers.
Midfielder – Eilidh Shore (Hearts)
Hearts continue their fine recent form with an impressive 3-0 win over Motherwell at the Oriam. Captain Shore was key in their buildup play throughout the game, helping Hearts dominate the ball with 69% possession. Eilidh grabbed the third and final goal of the game, her first goal of the season, ultimately sealing the victory for the Jambos.
Midfielder – Sophia Määttä (Glasgow City)
Glasgow City edged past Hamilton at New Douglas Park after being reduced to 10 players in the second half. Maatta marked a solid performance by setting up the only goal of the game, as her side claimed a narrow victory. Alongside her assist, Määttä was prominent in Glasgow City’s attack, with 16 successful dribbles down the right-hand side.

Forward – Cara Gray (Kilmarnock)
Kilmarnock went top of the SWPL 2 table this weekend with a convincing win over the University of Stirling. Cara had an extremely impressive 97% pass accuracy throughout the game and has continued her fine goal scoring form from last season where she finished second in the overall scoring charts. She added her third of the season with a well-placed right foot volley to continue the club’s unbeaten start to the league season.
Forward & Star Player – Kathleen McGovern (Hibernian)
Kathleen McGovern rocketed up the goalscoring charts this week as she netted a hat-trick over Montrose, helping Hibernian bounce back from the derby defeat in their previous outing. McGovern, who finished second in the goalscoring ranks last season, will hope to continue her current form to go one better this campaign.
Forward – Danni Findlay (Dundee United)
Dundee United recovered from their Sky Sports Cup exit last weekend with a top performance against newly promoted East Fife at Foundation Park. Danni scored in the 7th minute of the game putting United ahead, before the highlight of her performance, her outside of the boot through ball assist to teammate Alma Codegoni, which sealed the win and moved Suzy Shepherd’s side back into the top 4.
