Team of the Week from ScottishPower Women’s Premier League games played on 16th November.
————————
Goalkeeper – Chloe Gibney (Livingston)
Livingston earned a point at home to Queen’s Park in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2, and have huge thanks to give to Gibney in goals. She conceded only once, despite having an expected goals conceded of 3.67. She made the highest number of saves in this round of fixtures (8) for the division, half of which were saves with reflexes. She also boasted both strong short and long passing sucess rates as the result moves Livi four points clear of automatic relegation and three clear of East Fife in 9th place.

Defender – Demi Falconer (Partick Thistle)
Partick Thistle climbed out of the relegation zone in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League, jumping above Aberdeen in the process with their 1-0 win over the Dons. The Jags hadn’t kept a clean sheet in the league this season before Sunday, and it was the perfect time to get one. Falconer was at the heart of their defence as she won 88% of her duels, 67% of her aerial duels, and boasting a solid 65% passing accuracy. It’s a result that moves Thistle eight points clear of automatic relegation and gets new Manager, Gary Holt, off to a winning start.
Defender – Elizabeth Corke (East Fife)
After losing to relegation rivals Stirling University in their last match, East Fife bounced back in style with a 2-0 win over St Johnstone to get their first victory of the season. Keeping a clean sheet and scoring, Corke earns her place. While it wasn’t her best match on the ball, the defender was a rock in defence, winning 83% of her duels, 67% of her aerial duels, and making nine interceptions. It was a performance that helped her side jump out of the automatic relegation spot at the foot of the table and just three points away from safety.
Defender – Laura McLaughlin (Kilmarnock)
Kilmarnock continued their march to the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2 title, moving seven points clear at the top with a 2-0 win over Boroughmuir Thistle. Despite the relegation of three sides from the top division last season, Killie are now firm favourites and the only unbeaten side after 10 games. McLaughlin helped her side to keep yet another clean sheet and got a goal, heading home from a corner. The defender was excellent at the back, winning 70% of her duels, all of her aerial duels, and making six interceptions.
Defender – Robyn McCafferty (Spartans)
Spartans and Dundee United shared the spoils in ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2 with a 0-0 draw on Sunday, a result that doesn’t really benefit either side. Spartans remain second, now seven points behind Kilmarnock, while Dundee United drop down to sixth, 12 points behind the league leaders. It was a round of games which highlighted the skill of defenders, and this match was no exception. McCafferty earns another place in the team of the week this season, having one of the highest number of passes in the round (56) with a 71% accuracy rate whilst also winning 69% of her duels and 67% of her aerial duels.

Midfielder – Natalie Wrobel (Glasgow City)
It’s a rarity, but it’s an inclusion for Wrobel despite only playing the first 45 minutes in Glasgow City’s 6-1 win away to Montrose. With the Europa Cup match away in Portugal against Sporting CP on Wednesday, it’s unsurprising that Leanne Ross made the full use of her squad, and she’ll be delighted with Wrobel’s contribution. The Polish international got the assist for City’s opener and scored the next two goals, showing both her ability to be in the right place at the right time and her ability to score for the edge of the box. After results went their way, Glasgow City are now six points clear at the top of the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League.
Midfielder – Mia McAulay (Rangers)
Mia McAulay is starting to haunt Celtic this season. Rangers have scored five goals against Celtic in 2025/26, and McAulay has scored twice and provided two assists. On Sunday, McAuley provided the cross for Katie Wilkinson to put Rangers 2-1 ahead and with the sides level at 2-2 in the final 10 minutes, McAulay stepped up to drive forward from the left and apply an excellent curling finish. The result keeps Rangers in the title race, still nine points behind Glasgow City but with plenty of more matches to play.
Midfielder – Mia McArthur (Gartcairn)
Gartcairn made it back-to-back wins for the first time since September, brushing off Stirling University with a 3-0 away win. McArthur kept the game ticking for Gartcairn in the middle of the park with a goal, a further four shots, and a fantastic 82% passing success rate. She was also solid defensively, winning 55% of her duels and and making four interceptions. The result moves her side above Dundee United and into 5th, just a point outside of the promotion play-off spots in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2.

Forward – Carly Boyce (Motherwell)
The Women of Steel kept their biggest rivals without a point this season, inflicting a 2-0 win on Hamilton Academical at New Douglas Park. Boyce showcased her strikers instincts, scoring the opener from a cross and then heading home her second and final goal from a corner. With Montrose’s defeat to Glasgow City, Motherwell climb into the top six and also move four points clear of the relegation zone.
Forward – Carly Johns (Heart of Midlothian)
After defeat at the hands of their rivals in the Sky Sports Cup, Hearts got their revenge with a 3-1 win over Hibernian in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League. The Hibees were 1-0 up at the break and would be hoping to keep their spot in second, but Hearts had other ideas as they scored three without reply. Johns was another player showing her strikers instincts, sliding in to finish a Bayley Hutchison cross before having composure inside the box to pass the looping ball into the corner of the net. The Jambos move above their Edinburgh rivals into second, six points behind Glasgow City.
Forward – Saoirse Noonan (Celtic)
It wasn’t the result that Celtic or Noonan were hoping at Ibrox, falling to a 3-2 defeat to their rivals and leaving them further behind Glasgow City in the title race. The striker played her part for her side, as she was involved in their opener and then bringing the sides level at 2-2 as she smashed home the loose ball with 72 minutes played. It wasn’t enough though, and Celtic now haven’t beaten Rangers in the league since March 2024.
