Goalkeeper – Rebecca Cameron (Motherwell)

The Women of Steel nearly pulled off a shock draw away to Rangers, narrowly losing 2-1 in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League. If they did pull it off, they’d have Cameron to thank after a strong performance between the sticks. She made seven saves and the joint highest number of exits across the league this Sunday (5), as she continually looked to come for dangerous crosses. She almost created the equaliser towards the end of the game with a long and threatening ball forward, but it wasn’t to be for Motherwell in the end.

Defender – Mia Scott (Kilmarnock)

Another week with a substitute included, but a huge amount of credit must go to 18-year-old Scott for coming into the Kilmarnock defence after just 26 minutes and helping her side to a clean sheet and a draw. The young defender won 92% of her duels while having a solid 64% of her short passes successful. Making more recoveries than losses against strong opposition, it was an impressive first appearance of the 2025/26 season.

Defender – Nicola Jameison (Dundee United)

It’s a second appearance of the month in the Team of the Week for Jameison as she was a standout in the United defence. Involved in 89 actions throughout the match, she was kept busy for her side as she helped them earn a point on the road against an unbeaten Kilmarnock. She won 73% of her 26 duels, 80% of aerial duels, and made an impressive eight interceptions.

Defender – Ronaigh Douglas (Spartans)

Spartans made it three wins from three in ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2, dispatching East Fife 4-1 at Bayview. Jack Beesley will be pleased with the combination of scoring plenty of goals so far this season (8) and only conceding their first goal after 252 minutes of football. Playing her part in that success is Douglas, who was selected as their Player of the Match. Smart both with and without the ball, the Spartans legend continues to deliver as they search for an immediate return to the top division.

Midfielder – Lauren Wade (Hearts)

Hearts got their first win of the 2025/26 season with a 2-0 away victory over Hamilton Academical. The Northern Ireland winger was a constant threat on Sunday, getting an assist and only missing a goal for her efforts. She made 44 successful short passes (79% accuracy), seven crosses into the box, and had three shots as she caused headaches down the left side of the pitch.

Midfielder – Momo Nakao (Celtic)

Celtic continued their winning start to the season, defeating Partick Thistle 7-0 as they made it three from three. A number of players could have been in contention this week, but Nakao earns her place with a goal, an assist, and impressive stats all round. She boasted 81% short passing accuracy, 100% crossing accuracy, and all whilst winning 11 of her 12 duels. It’s her first goal since signing for Celtic, and Elena Sadiku will be hoping she continues her fine form throughout the season.

Midfielder – Toni Leigh Finnegan (Aberdeen)

The Dons got their first win of the 2025/26 campaign with a 2-0 win away to Montrose. Playing the whole match for the first time this season and scoring their opening goal, Finnegan earns her place. She had a further two shots on target, whilst also winning 61% of her duels and most impressively, 100% of her eight aerial duels. It was a match to remember for Aberdeen and Finnegan as they got their season off the mark.

Midfielder – Cailin Michie (Boroughmuir Thistle)

Boroughmuir Thistle got back to winning ways in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2 as they won 3-1 away to Gartcairn. Michie continues to be a key part of the Thistle side, showing her quality with a stunning goal from 30-yards that left the ‘keeper no chance. While it was actually one of her quieter games in purple, she still had 60% short passing accuracy and won 58% of her 31 duels in the middle of the park.

Forward – Sophie Rutherford (Queen’s Park)

It’s back-to-back results with the Spiders scoring six goals, this time a 6-2 away win over St Johnstone. It was a highly productive hour for Rutherford, scoring and getting an assist down the right side. She was unfortunate that her other shot of the match slipped wide of the post. With plenty of goals throughout Iain Robinson’s side, Rutherford is making her case clear to remain a starting winger.

Forward – Kirsty Howat (Rangers)

While not their usual clinical performance, Rangers still got the important three points on Sunday. Howat is included as she got the important second goal, a nice finish across goal after a Katie Wilkinson through ball. She had a further shot well saved, 75% short passing accuracy and a 67% dribbling success rate as she continues to be one of the most consistent strikers in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League.

Forward & Star Player – Dionne Brown (Livingston)

This week’s star player goes to Livingston’s Brown after a brace in their 3-0 win over Stirling University, their first points of the season. The Livi forward was a menace in Stirling, taking eight shots with four on target, as well as a 74% short passing accuracy. Combined with her battling up top (32 duels), she won 100% of her aerial duels to give defenders no peace. A star performance from the striker and Craig Joyce will be hoping for more goals throughout the season.
