Team of the Week from ScottishPower Women’s Premier League games played on 2nd November.
————————
Goalkeeper – Erin Davidson (Stirling University)
Stirling University picked up their first points in the 2025/26 season with a potentially vital win over relegation rivals East Fife. Playing a massive role in their 2-1 victory was Davidson, who faced 10 shots on Sunday and made nine saves. With an expected conceded goals of 1.89, she outperformed what was expected and made some great stops. Stirling Uni now move off the bottom of the table and are just three points from safety.

Defender – Emma Brownlie (Glasgow City)
Glasgow City continued their unbeaten start to the 2025/26 campaign with what was eventually a comfortable 5-0 win over Aberdeen in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League. Despite only playing 26 minutes, Brownie capatalised on the closing moments of the game as she helped her side shut out the Dons and provided two assists. As shown throughout her career, it was two wonderful crosses that were well finished by Lana Golob and Lisa Forrest. In what is a long season, Leanne Ross will be delighted to have a squad of quality to call upon.
Defender – Izzy Young (Spartans)
The Spartans return to second in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2, jumping above Boroughmuir Thistle in the table. After failing to score in the league in October, they entered November in fashion with a 5-0 victory over Livingston. A number of players could have made this team, but Young edges it as the full back scored, provided an assist, and helped her side keep a clean sheet. She had a 75% passing accuracy rate, an 83% dribbling success rate, and won 71% of her duels in what was an all-round impressive performance.
Defender – Ellie MacDonald (Queen’s Park)
The Spiders left it late on Sunday, earning a 1-1 draw with Boroughmuir Thistle. If Queen’s Park were to score earlier, it was likely that MacDonald would have played a part. The defender had five shots, three that were on target. Regardless of the distance, MacDonald was a threat with her powerful efforts, particularly from set pieces, that forced smart saves from Beth Rennie. She was also solid at the back, winning 60% of her duels, 67% of her aerial duels, making 10 interceptions, and she boasted a 77% passing accuracy.

Midfielder – Ellis Notley (Hibernian)
It’s back-to-back team of the week inclusions for Notley as Hibs remain second in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League. It’s another match where Notley has got a goal and an assist, making it two goals and four assists from her last two outings. Her corner was headed home by Kathleen McGovern before she got the final goal of the game with a nice finish from the edge of the box. The midfielder also kept the game ticking for Hibernian in their 3-0 win over Partick Thistle, with 81% passing accuracy and 82% of her duels won.
Midfielder – Marie McAneny (Celtic)
One of two Celtic midfielders included this week, McAneny was solid in just over the hour she played. She got a goal and an assist as her side came away with a 3-0 win over Hamilton Accies on Friday night. She headed home their second of the evening before taking the corner which Lisa Robertson headed home. She also had a 78% passing accuracy rate, won 67% of her duels, and won 100% of aerial duels as Celtic remain six points behind leaders Glasgow City.
Midfielder – Lucy Ronald (Motherwell)
In a battle for a place in the top-six, Montrose remain ahead of the pack after their 1-1 draw over Motherwell at Links Park. Neither side could find the all important winning goal, but both sides move further away from the relegation zone. In the middle of the park, Lucy Ronald put in a strong performance for the Women of Steel. She had a 79% passing accuracy rate as well as making more recoveries for her side than losses. After securing a top-six spot last season, Paul Brownlie will have a clear target for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign, but the Mighty Mo will hope to thwart them.
Midfielder – Lisa Robertson (Celtic)
Robertson is the second Celtic player included this week. With 104 passes against Hamilton Accies, she recorded the highest number in the league this round, coupled with an impressive 94% accuracy rate. The midfielder got the final goal of the match for her side as well as showcasing her overall abilities with six crosses, 64% of her duels won, and making more recoveries than loses.

Forward – Lucie Burns (Kilmarnock)
Kilmarnock remain in the driving seat in ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2 after a 3-1 away win over Gartcairn. The win keeps them five points clear after nine games, dropping Gartcairn down to sixth. After featuring for Scotland U19’s in friendlies during the international break, Burns returned to the league with a goal and assist as the winger continues to be a standout player in the division. On top of her goal contributions, she had a further three shots, six crosses, 83% dribbling success, and won the majority of her duels from the wing.
Forward & Star Player – Georgia Timms (Heart of Midlothian)
Hearts moved three points clear of Rangers on Sunday, keeping the title race very much open, with nine points between the top five teams. The Jambos raced into a 3-0 lead at Oriam with Timms scoring twice. She showed why she is one of the most clinical forwards in the league, applying two cool finishes, one from the penalty spot and the other from just inside the box. While they had to hold off Rangers to win 3-2, it was a battling performance from the Edinburgh side that will be yet another remainder of their status as challengers for the league.
Forward – Danni Findlay (Dundee United)
Dundee United boosted their play-off chances with a 4-3 away win over St Johnstone, moving them up to 5th in ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2. In what was yet another entertaining game involving goals and St Johnstone (19 in their past three league games), the Tangerines edged it with Findlay providing an assist and what was eventually the winning goal. United remain 10 points behind leaders Kilmarnock, but are now just a point behind Queen’s Park.
