The SWPL is pleased to confirm that the 2023/24 Sky Sports Cup Final will now be played on Sunday 24th March, with a 1.30pm kick-off. The match will also be exclusively live on Sky Sports and NOW.
One of the key objectives of the SWPL is to increase attendances at SWPL matches, and to improve the visibility of our game. After consultation with key stakeholders, it was agreed that providing fans of both clubs with the best possible opportunity of being able to attend the match was of the upmost importance, to ensure the occasion showcases the very best of the SWPL and is a fitting conclusion to the Sky Sports Cup.
The SWPL would like to thank Sky Sports, both finalists and Heart of Midlothian for their collaboration and willingness to work with us to find a solution.
We are delighted to confirm that tickets for the final will go on sale at 4pm today (Wednesday 24th January) via the Heart of Midlothian ticketing website.
Prices have been frozen in line with the 2022/23 final, with tickets just £8 for adults and £1 for concessions (under 18’s, over 65’s, and supporters with a disability). For the first time, there is also a family ticket available, costing £15 for a family of four (two adults and two children).
There will be no formal segregation at the match and the SWPL is encouraging fans of women’s football and all clubs to attend one of the most important and iconic matches of the season. Supporters of both clubs can also choose to sit with fellow fans of their favourite club by purchasing tickets in the following areas:
- Rangers – Sections N, P & Q
- Partick Thistle – Sections R, S & T
There will also be hospitality tickets on sale to the public, a sign of the growth and increasing demand to support the women’s game. Hospitality tickets and pricing will be announced soon via SWPL channels.
SWPL Managing Director, Fiona McIntyre, said: “Firstly, I’d like to congratulate both teams for reaching the final of the Sky Sports Cup. The match is a huge opportunity to showcase the very best of women’s football in Scotland and I am sure both clubs will relish the chance to win the first silverware of the season, in front of a huge crowd at Tynecastle.
“We’re delighted, that despite rising costs, our ticket prices remain the same as last season. It’s really important that the Sky Sports Cup is affordable and accessible, and the introduction of a family ticket provides excellent value for fans, who we hope will turn out in large numbers in March.
“Like last year, not only will your ticket allow you to watch some of the best players in Scotland, there will be lots of family-friendly activities happening in and around the stadium I’d encourage all fans to come along early to sample the activities and enjoy the pre-match atmosphere.
“We’re also really pleased that hospitality tickets will be available to buy for the first time ever. Given the brilliant facilities at Tynecastle Park and the demand we had last season, we’re sure this will be a popular offering to supporters who wish to enhance the matchday experience.”
