The Accelerators on International Women’s Day | SPFL United | Episode 5

On International Women’s Day, the SWPL/SPFL stands in solidarity to help #AccelerateAction for women and girls in our game.

Within Scottish football there are a host of inspiring and influential women who are making their mark on our sport from the boardroom to the dressing room.

In episode 5 of SPFL United, we spoke to SWPL chief executive Fiona McIntyre, SPFL Trust chief executive Nicky Reid, Hearts’ Technical Development Manager Shelley Kerr, Sky Sports presenter, and broadcaster Eilidh Barbour as well as Glasgow City and Scotland WNT goalkeeper Lee Gibson.

They discuss their personal and professional journeys along with the road still to travel to break down the systemic barriers and biases that women face.
