The Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) has launched a ‘Donate a Ticket’ campaign ahead of the 2023/24 Sky Sports Cup Final. This will allow people to support the women’s game while also giving children and families in need the opportunity to attend an amazing day out within their community.
Supported by the Big Hearts Community Trust, tickets will be donated to families and children in need within the local area.
Donations are available at £10, £15, and £20 which will provide the following:
- A £10 donation will provide one adult and two concession tickets to a family in need.
- A £15 donation will provide two adult and two concession tickets to a family in need.
- A £20 donation will provide two adult and two concession tickets to a family in need and £5 will go directly to the Big Hearts Community Trust.
Donations can be made online via Heart of Midlothian’s ticketing website.
SWPL Managing Director, Fiona McIntyre, said: “We are proud to launch our ‘Donate a Ticket’ campaign alongside the Big Hearts Community Trust. We know that financially, times are difficult and that is why we froze ticket prices for the 2023/24 final at just £8 adults and £1 concessions.
“We know that for some though, spending £10 or £15 on a football match is still not feasible and we want to help reduce the barriers that may prevent those wishing to attend, being able to. That is why we feel this is a fantastic campaign to ensure those most in need have the opportunity to attend and enjoy a fantastic event at Tynecastle Park.
“I encourage everyone, but particularly supporters of the women’s game who can’t attend, to donate a ticket, in the knowledge that it will help ensure a local family can enjoy a fantastic day out later this month. You will directly be supporting the women’s game and giving families and children an amazing day at the Sky Sports Cup Final.”
Big Hearts Chief Executive, Craig Wilson, said: “We are delighted to be working alongside the SWPL on this fantastic initiative! Big Hearts aims to provide equal opportunities and access for all and this is a brilliant example, whilst also supporting the growth of the women’s game.
“We hope that many people will support by purchasing tickets to allow even more of the local community to enjoy a great afternoon at Tynecastle Park.”
