Sky Sports Cup – Dundee United v Renfrew – 26/07/2026

Renfrew Ladies FC have been sanctioned by the SWPL for a breach of SWPL League Cup Rule 6.1 in fielding more than the permitted number of substitutes in their Sky Sports Cup League Phase fixture against Dundee United on Sunday, 26 July, which ended 2-2 before Renfrew won 4-2 on penalties.

The following sanctions will apply:

(i)                  The Club was reprimanded and warned as to its future conduct;

(ii)                Renfrew’s Sky Sports Cup Match v Dundee United will be recorded as a 3-0 victory for Dundee United and the League table updated accordingly;

(iii)              A fine of £250, of which all is suspended until 8 August 2027 pending any further similar breaches of the SWPL and League Cup Rules.

Sky Sports Cup – Queen’s Park v Spartans – 26/07/2026

Spartans WFC have been sanctioned by the SWPL for breaches of SWPL League Cup Rules 8.4 and 8.5.1, and SWPL Rules F15 and F69 in fielding ineligible trialists in their Sky Sports Cup League Phase fixture against Queen’s Park on Sunday, 26 July, which ended 1-1 before Spartans won 4-2 on penalties.

The following sanctions will apply:

(i)                  The Club was reprimanded and warned as to its future conduct;

(ii)                Spartans’ Sky Sports Cup Match v Queen’s Park will be recorded as a 3-0 victory for Queen’s Park and the League table updated accordingly;

(iii)              A fine of £650, of which £500 is suspended until 8 August 2027 pending any further similar breaches of the SWPL and League Cup Rules.
