This was a mature performance from the young Scottish defender which came at a crucial time to help her side open up a seven point gap to the bottom three.

The Dutch defender produced yet another solid display at the heart of what is statistically the best defence in the SWPL this season. While once again strong in the tackle, van Diemen most impressively recycled possession throughout the match, barely misplacing a pass all game. Her defence-splitting marauding run forward and expertly picked out pull back produced her assist for City’s third goal of the afternoon.
Defender – Lizzie Waldie (Hearts)
The centre-back produced yet another fine display in the Hearts defence at both ends of the pitch. While part of a defence that conceded two goals, Waldie was dominant in her duels and helped to limit Rangers to very few opportunities. She also produced a sumptuous clipped through ball to assist Bayley Hutchison for the opening goal in the match.

Midfielder – Georgie Robb (Gartcairn)
The winger earns her spot in this week’s SWPL Team of the Week, providing an assist and two goals of her own in a high-scoring draw against Ayr United in Cumnock. This is Georgie’s second feature in three matches since joining the Airdrie-based club, and she was a constant menace down the left-hand side, creating a number of chances in the game through her effortless, silky dribbling.
Midfielder – Ashley Robertson (Dundee United)
Ashley Robertson impressed in the middle of the park for Dundee United, maintaining possession throughout the match with her passing while also defending robustly when required also. The Hearts loanee also scored the equalising goal in the game for the Tangerines, slotting home coolly past the keeper. Despite United losing the game, this commanding performance from the young Scottish midfielder shows promise of more to come.
Midfielder – Natalia Wrobel (Glasgow City)
Despite only entering the pitch with half an hour to play, Natalia Wrobel produced a silky cameo display consisting of two goals. The Polish midfielder was again impressive, and her two goals helped to cement the three points for the Petershill side in their continued battle at the top of the table. The City midfielder has now netted double figures in what has been a remarkable debut season with the club.
Midfielder – Tegan Bowie (Hibernian)
Tegan Bowie produced yet another top display for the Hibees, proving a constant thorn in the side of Celtic. Her driving runs and close control dribbling down the left hand side were consistently on show throughout, and it was from one of these runs that the winger assisted the only goal in the match, with Eilidh Adams heading in her inch-perfect cross. This was a massive result for the Leith side who remain equal on points at the summit of the SWPL.

These were the first two league goals of the season for the young Scottish striker and were integral to extending the Meadowbank side’s winning streak to seven matches. Boroughmuir are now level on points with their weekend opponents and within six points of the SWPL 2 top spot.
Forward & Star Player – Bayley Hutchison (Hearts)
Bayley Hutchison produced yet another trademark dominant display at the tip of the Hearts attack, delivering another two goals. The striker was a handful all afternoon and the Rangers defence struggled at times to contain her. Her brace took her team to a two goal lead, ultimately earning what could prove a valuable point as the Edinburgh side look to remain in touch near the top of the SWPL table.
