Goalkeeper – Lauren McGregor (Queen’s Park)

Lauren McGregor while conceding two goals in Sunday’s match against Hibernian, made a string of excellent saves which helped keep the scoreline respectable. The Spiders’ stopper made 8 saves in total while also maintaining pinpoint distribution throughout the match.

Defender – Georgina McTear (Kilmarnock)

The centre-back popped up with yet another goal for Killie, netting the opener after being first to a loose ball in the box. While part of a defence that conceded two goals, McTear was dominant in her duels which, combined with her goal, helped the Ayrshire side to a crucial three points in the race for the SWPL 2 title.

Defender – Demi Falconer (Partick Thistle)

Falconer was excellent against Hearts and played a vital role in the Jags’ hard-fought draw. Dominant in her duels, the centre-back was at her very best to ensure Hearts were limited to only one goal. This could prove an important point as Thistle continue to hold on in the chase for the top six.

Defender – Katie Rice (Motherwell)

The full-back continued her scoring form by grabbing the crucial opener in their match at home to Spartans. The strength and control shown to produce the goal were characteristic of Rice’s performance overall, contributing heavily at both ends of the pitch as Motherwell moved one step closer to confirming top six status for the first time.

Midfielder – Cara Borthwick (Boroughmuir Thistle)

Borthwick was a constant threat down the right hand side and was vital to her team coming back from behind against league-leading Hamilton. Her goal, Boroughmuir’s first of the day, was the catalyst for the comeback which subjected Accies to only their second defeat in the league this season and helped close the gap to the top.

Midfielder – Eilidh Shore (Hearts)

While her performance did not result in three points for her team, Shore’s contribution in the engine room could not go unnoticed. It was a determined and spirited performance in the middle of the pitch as she won the vast majority of her duels and continued her fine form of the season.

Midfielder – Linzi Taylor (Hibernian)

Taylor produced another strong performance in the heart of the Hibernian midfield to help her side to another important three points in their hunt for the SWPL title this season. She rarely gave up possession of the ball and helped to maintain pressure on the Queen’s Park rearguard with her efficiency in the middle of the park.

Midfielder – Georgie Robb (Gartcairn)

Debutant Robb struck a sumptuous hat-trick as Gartcairn romped to a 7-0 win over Rossvale. The deadline day signing from Motherwell was impressive cutting in off the left side and helped her new team to an important three points as they continue to consolidate their position in the top half.

Forward & Star Player – Katie Wilkinson (Rangers)

Wilkinson was the stand-out player at the weekend and deserved Team of the Week Star Player following her hat-trick of goals in the 10-0 thrashing of Aberdeen. The English striker now moves on to a SWPL record-breaking 29 league goals for the season and added another assist just to top her performance off.

Forward – Abi Harrison (Celtic)

The January signing has hit the ground running, netting a hat-trick under the Tannadice lights on Friday in what was her first start upon her return to the Hoops. She was a constant threat in the box and showed her strength to dominate the Dundee United defence as she helped her side to keep pace with City at the top.

Forward – Brenna Lovera (Glasgow City)

Lovera netted yet another goal in this dominant win for City over Montrose, this time from the penalty spot. The American however impressed throughout the match and ensured City recorded a confident three points as they continue to set the pace at the top of the SWPL.
