With a further five games selected, fans will be able to follow all the action as the SWPL title race comes to a climactic conclusion. The above selections mean there have been just short of 60 ScottishPower Women’s Premier League and Sky Sports Cup matches selected for broadcast across the 2024/25 Season, in what has been to date a captivating season of twists and turns with all to play for as we enter the final matches of the Season.

Sky Sports have selected the final day of the season clash between the SWPL’s current top two, which will see Rangers take on Hibernian at Ibrox Stadium. With Rangers currently only two points behind Hibernian, this could be a pivotal match in determining the destination of the title. Each team will take confidence into the match, with the Leith side already winning this fixture twice this Season, including their recent 2-0 victory during the post-split phase, while Rangers convincingly won the Sky Sports Cup Final last month.
BBC ALBA have selected a further four matches in May, starting with a potentially colossal double header in the context of the title race on the 11th May which includes Hibernian v Glasgow City and Celtic v Rangers.

BBC ALBA will then also showcase Hibernian v Celtic on the 14th of May, which will be the Hibees’ final home match of the Season. BBC ALBA’s selections culminate with Glasgow City v Hearts on the final day of the Season. City will be hoping to regain the title they last won in 2022/2023 on another dramatic final day, but the Edinburgh side have been in formidable form since the split and will still have hopes of catching up to the top three and making their own mark on the title race.

Fiona McIntyre, SWPL Managing Director, said: “We have had an incredible season and it appears that the league will go down to the wire once again, in what is quickly becoming a trademark of the SWPL. The elite women’s game in Scotland continues to deliver compelling and entertaining football at both ends of the table with the title, European football and the remaining relegation places in both leagues still to be decided.

“I’m once again delighted that fans who are unable to make it to a match in person will be able to watch the culmination of the SWPL title race live across Sky Sports and BBC ALBA. It is important that fans have the opportunity to keep up with all the thrills of the title race particularly on the final day, which will involve a concurrent broadcast double-header from 12 noon.

“The visibility of the game is vital, and I want to once again thank all of our broadcast partners for the excellent coverage they deliver for the SWPL, allowing fans to follow what we expect will be another dramatic conclusion in the race for the SWPL title as it happens.”
